Global association of MDP WORLD

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation devoted $15 million to create the first MDP programs at up to 20 universities worldwide. In 2009, the MacArthur Foundation announced the first round of 10 universities across the globe to receive significant grants to establish new MDP programs – the University of Florida was one of these 10 universities, and one of only two universities in the United States to receive this funding during this first round. Globally, there are now 28 institutions and universities that offer a Master’s in Development Practice Program. Columbia University serves as the secretariat for the global network of MDPs.
